The Salvador Dali painting from 1931 “The Persistence of Memory”, always makes me think of Pink Floyd’s song “Time” from The Dark Side of the Moon.

A 1974 christmas sales ad for Lafayette LR-310 12.5 watt reciever bundle. I found a working receiver for $20.00 at Salvation Army. I check the inflation calculator, and $320.00 is $1,544.00 in todays money, makes me think.

My dad got us all collecting old 2 channel Stereo Equipment from the 1970’s. This is my 1977 Marantz 1090 Amp and model 2020 Tuner. Clean and full range sound, this shit rocks much better than average new stuff. So now I’m pulling it out and putting in the Marantz 2285B reciever with twice the power. I shake the house with the 1090, and soon I’ll bust the foundation. I love driving fast, and blasting my Home Stereo. P.S. We bought most of these in thrift shops before they knew what they had, we have a repiar guy that makes as good as new, and the sale prices of these things is high, a Marantz 2600 reciever can bring $5,000.00 these days.. :))))
